This year over 200 students participated in MESA from grades six through twelve across seven campuses.
In addition to developing student understanding of the Engineering principals, MESA contains a competition component. Each Year PUSD students face off against students from local districts including ABC, Bellflower, Long Beach, Los Angeles, and a Lawndale Charter.
Competitions challenge student’s ability to build, code, present and resolve complex mathematics problems. Students successful at the local level continue to regional, state, and national competitions.
Students interested in enrolling can contact their school MESA Advisor at the beginning of each school year.
