Local Scholarship Opportunity

Attention Seniors!


This is your opportunity to apply for scholarships provided by city organization and private donors.

PLEASE NOTE: PEP has their own scholarship application. 

Scholarship is open to Seniors attending a four year college, community college or a CTE/Vocational school.  

Senior student athletes also need to submit an application in order to be considered for the Scholarship Athlete award along with the 

In order to qualify you must:  

  • Make nine exact copies of the application (one for each local scholarship)
  • Include an unofficial copy of your transcripts with each application
  • Include a copy of your Financial Aid Student Aid Report (SAR) with each application
  • Acceptance Letters (or emails) received from the colleges where you have been accepted to (optional)
  • One page resume (optional)
  • Incomplete applications will be disqualified 
PEP Scholarship
The Paramount Education Partnership (PEP) offers annual scholarships of $1,000 for students attending a community college and $3,000 for students who attend a California State University including vocational/trade/technical schools, and $4,000 for students attending a UC and/or Private accredited four-year institution within the United States.
Available during February of senior year.


Scholar Athlete Award


Eligible students will receive a colored cord to wear as part of their graduation ensemble.  Information must be verified prior to receiving the graduation cord.  In addition to the cord, students must submit the local scholarship application to be considered to receive a Scholar Athlete financial award.


This recognition is available to graduating seniors that meet the following requirements:


Earned at least a 3.75 cumulative GPA (Total Weighted GPA on Transcript) INCLUDE UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT WITH APPLICATION)


Successfully competed at the Varsity level of athletics for at least two seasons (can be two seasons of the same sport or a season in two or more different sports), or two seasons of JV and one season of Varsity. All CIF sports, Cheer, Song, Dance, Marching Band and Pageantry are included as of the Class of 2016. (Coaches will need to verify varsity sport participation.)


If you would like to be considered for scholarship money you MUST complete the PHS Common Scholarship Application and attach this form to it.
